ACM Launches Journal on Responsible Computing with Dr. Ken Fleischmann as Editor-in-Chief
Dr. Kenneth R. Fleischmann, Good Systems Founding Chair and Professor in the UT Austin School of Information, will serve as founding editor-in-chief for the newly launched Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Journal on Responsible Computing. The journal will publish original research at the intersection of computing, ethics, information, law, policy, responsible innovation, and social responsibility from a wide range of interdisciplinary perspectives.

New Partnership Will Scale Up Investment in Ethical AI Research and Innovation
The University of Texas at Austin and the MITRE Corporation, a nonprofit dedicated to solving problems for a safer world, have formed a partnership that includes accelerating innovative ethical artificial intelligence (AI) research currently underway by interdisciplinary teams of researchers who are part of UT Austin’s Good Systems research grand challenge.

City of Austin, UT Collaborate on Photovoice Exhibition and Green Jobs Report
The UT School of Architecture’s Community and Regional Planning program and Austin Civilian Conservation Corps are collaborating on green jobs report and, on May 20, hosted a Photovoice Exhibition reception at City Hall. This work is part of a larger green jobs study first convened by Planet Texas 2050.
